The 67th National Film Awards that were going to be held in May last year were delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which are being announced in New Delhi on Monday. The ceremony will bestow honours on film and film industry artistes for the year 2019, which will be presented by the President Of India. As per the latest updates, late Sushant Singh Rajput's film Chhichhore has bagged the Best Hindi Film award at 67th National Film Award. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is honoured with her 4th National Film Award. She has been awarded Best Actress for her films Manikarnika and Panga.
On Twitter, ANI made a tweet and reported the news. The tweet read, “Actor Kangana Ranaut (file photo) awarded Best actress for 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' and 'Panga'. #NationalFilmAwards2019.” Kangana bagged her fourth National Film Award for Best Actress in her 2019 films Manikarnika and Panga. The actress had also donned the director’s hat for the film Manikarnika. Meanwhile, Ranaut has earlier been honoured with a National Film Award for Best Actress in films Queen and Tanu Weds Manu. The actress won the National Film Award for Best Actress in a supporting role for film Fashion. In 2018, South actress Keerthy Suresh won the National Film Award for Best Actress.

Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s film Chhichhore also stars Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Sharma. The National Award winning film was directed by Nitesh Tiwari focused on the portrayal of hostel life in Indian colleges. Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee and South star Dhanush won the 67th National Film Award for Best Actor in the lead role for their stellar performances in the films Bhosle and Asuran. Actor Vijay Sethupathi bagged a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the 2019 film Super Deluxe, where the actor played the role of a transwoman Shilpa.
